Organization
The scientific research activity spans across the thematic lines of Sustainable Energy, Advanced Production, Healthcare and Safety, Surface Transports and Aerospace, and is part of LAETA (Associated Laboratory for Energy, Transports and Aeronautics). Also part of this Associated Laboratory are the INEGI from University of Porto, ADAI from University of Coimbra and AEROG from University of Beira Interior.
To this end, IDMEC is organized into five centres: Aerospace Science and Technology, Energy and Fluid Mechanics, Intelligent Systems, Manufacturing and Industrial Management and Mechanical Design.
